How much space do I need to open my container?

You need just over 7ft 8in plus the length of your shipping container to open its cargo doors.

To know how much space you need in order to open your shipping container's doors, add the length of the door to the length of your container. The cargo doors of standard ISO containers are 7 feet and 8 1/8 inches. So, for example, you'd need at least 27 feet 8 1/8 inches of clearance space to fully open a 20-foot container.
